Trompe l'oeil Murals Trompe l'oeil is French for "deceive the eye". The art
of Trompe l'oeil involves creating an illusion that fools the viewer
into believing they are actually seeing a 3rd dimensional object while
viewing a two dimensional surface ( like a wall or canvass ). Trompe
l'oiel mural painting usually involves the use of photorealism, but
